After Willie Miller left by his team Barako because of merely reason he's too old and probably injury prone, this gave me something to ponder, is Miller is that way too old already? Actually if you look at the current rosters, Miller is not the oldest to say.

Here are the Ageless and the Living Legends in the current PBA Season:

#1 Asi Taulava

Age: 41
Bidthdate : March 03 1973

This super grandpa like Master-Roshi of DragonBall is really amazing. Playing as a hardcore center and still can dominate the young big men like he's young and been into the fountain of youth. For more 6yrs he can break the record of the Living Legend Jjawo) for the oldest player played in PBA.  Infairness of Asi, he's playing as a full time player that plays over 30 minutes and not just an off-the-bench while Jawo in his late career he played as a Playing Coach that's most of the time he just sit out and very rare to see on the court.

#2 Eric Menk

Age:  40
Birthdate : 1974-08-24

You won't believe Eric Menk is already in his 40's against his looks that more younger. The Major Pain has been a big rivalry of Asi since they started their pro-career. If you watch his game, he still has the move and the touch like nothing has changed. Menk is currently in Alaska Aces rosters to give more veterans lead to the team.

#3 Mick Pennisi

Age: 39
Birthdate: 1975-03-13

When he was a rookie I already thought he's old and looks like your uncle in 50's. Mick is just in his 39 but for pro-basketball that's already out of the limit and ready for his retirement. Mick doesn't looks he's ready for his retirement, this Fil-Aussie is still playing like what he does in his rookie year in Barako.

#4 Wynne Arboleda

Age:  38     (turning 39)
Birthdate: 1976-11-26

So currently there are two grandPas who are currently playing  in NLEX, if PBA offers retirement plan per team, NLEX must surely have to think again on hiring retiring players. Wynne is already in his old legs but still can bangs his body to younger players. Still can drive and shoot like the old days.

#5 Danny Ildefonso  *retiring

Age: 38    (turning 39)
Birthdate: 1976-12-9

If you watched Danny-I in your childhood and says I want to be like him and now you are in your late 20's and working in office or somewhere,.. you will have the idea how old is Lakay now. Dann- I supposed to play with Blackwater but insist with his low salary because he feels he deserves more, well it's better than nothing compare to other player who are just younger than that's already out of the league.

#6 Seigle, Danny

Age: 38
Birthdate: 1976-06-14

Like his buddy Danny-I he's already playing like old guys who's looking for company for retirement. Been a part of San Mig championship campaign in old days and now a voyager. Danny Seigle is still in his legs, can post like a big man and can drive like a guard, his talents and skills never deteriorates perhaps it's only the number of his age that get olds.

#8 Dondon Hontiveros

Age : 37
Birthdate : 1977-06-01

The Cebuano Hotshot is already chasing with his age but still can run and guns like he's still in his 30's. Dondon is part of SMB championships together with other old dudes - double Danny. He's currently in Alaska with another old guy Eric Menk.

#9 Laure, Eddie

Age: 37
Birthdate: 1977-07-06

Just few days younger than DonDon, Laure never had the luck to play in his fullest in the PBA. He spent most the prime of his career in the MBA like a big time, trophies and awards were all over with him until the league departed. Then he moved to the PBA suddenly his career burn down like there's a curse. He's old now and a voyager, currently playing with Blackwater as a veteran.

#10 Jimmy Alapag

Age: 37
Birthdate: 1977-7-27

Jimmy is the oldest member of Gilas and just this year he announced his retirement in Philippines team. Though he's still in his legs and touch, he knows there are more young players who can give a better energy to the team to give the Gilas better chances. Jimmy is maybe old like his old buddy Asi but like Asi his dedication, work ethics and hardwork never change.

#10 Rafi Reavis

Age: 37
Birthdate: 1977-7-27

This guy is already in his 37 and still playing like he's same age with Norwood or other younger Fil-Ams.
Maybe it's the looks that never change.

OTHER OLD GUYS

Hugnatan, Reynel
Age:  36            Bidthdate : 1978-11-03

Pacquiao, Manny
Age:  36      Birthdate: 1978-12-17

Salvacion, Sunday
Age: 36           Birthdate: 1978-12-17

David, Gary
Age:  36           Birthdate: 1978-07-13

dela Cruz, Tony
Age: 36           Birthdate: 1978-08-24

Extra Fact

 Willie Miller

Age 37
Birthdate : 1977-7-13

As we said, Willie Miller is not quite old to say he's not in good fit to play in any team in PBA. Willie is probably injury prone which he had since he was in his College days, remember the freaky twisted ankle he had in Nueva Ecija Patriots?  He got away with that and still got his 2 MVP overtime. He might not playing like in his old days but for sure, his veteran and mentorship will be a good addition to any team he'll go.

  2. FYI, Jawo is 52 when he stopped playing professional basketball. During his early 40's, jaworski is still very much agile and still a scorer, in contrast to the claim of the writer of this article. Obviously, the writer is not a fan of Jaworski nor by ginebra.
