UAAP MVP's Who Never Won any Championship

Saturday, October 4, 2014

Here's are the MVPs who never won any championship during their UAAP career, they are like Kevin Durant, D.Rose and Karl Malone of the UAAP. Remember the old Lebron's Joke? He has a lot of MVP but no rings? hmm.. Bobby Parks got 2 MVPs but never had a chance to go to Finals, actually most of them never had got the taste of what does it feel being in the finals. They are great players during their prime but it seems the luck it's not with them.

#5 RR Garcia

He had the same fate with Terrence Romeo, where he won the MVP and Romeo got his ROY but still failed to win the Finals. They had a great campaign during the season where they had 12-0 records not until to Finals where the Ateneo beaten them up to secure their 4peat Championship

AWARDS
UAAP Most Valuable Player (73) 2010-2011

#4 Ken Bono

Bono had a promising collegiate season and also in other amateur basketball (PBL..). No one can't believe that this high profile player in college became no where to be found in any team in PBA. He gave the Adamson Falcons a great season after 15++yrs of drought and being in the residence of KULELAT rankings. He didn't able to get his ring because of great athletes co-exists in his prime like Jeff Chan, Jervy Cruz, JC Intal, Chris Tiu  and other notable players

AWARDS

  1. 2006 UAAP Most Valuable Player
  2. 2006 UAAP Mythical First Team

#3 James Yap

James didn't win or even get the taste of going to the Finals during his collegiate days but he won a lot of individual awards. He's also been team up with great players like Paul Artadi, KG Canaleta and Ronald Tubid, so how did he fail? it's because of the FEU bros dominations with Arwind Santos , Jeff Chan, Mark Isip, Denok Miranda and some of the great role players.

AWARDS:

  1. 4x PRISAA High School Basketball Most Valuable Player
  2. 3x PRISAA High School Basketball Champion (1998, 1999, 2000)
  3. 2003 UAAP Mythical First Team
  4. 2003 UAAP Most Valuable Player

#2 Bobby Ray Parks Jr

He entered the UAAP like a celebrity specially to his school NU, he gave his promise to the underdog NU to finish the 40yrs drought of championship. He strives through out his collegiate career but still not enough to get a glimpse of Finals, it's all because of the Dynasty of 2 Rival Teams DLSU vs Ateneo is still active in his time. If he's still in the 2014 season, he could have won with NU, maybe he's just in the wrong time.

Awards:

  1. UAAP Season 74 Most Valuable Player 2011-2012
  2. UAAP Season 75 Most Valuable Player 2012-2013

#1 Terrence Romeo

Despite of having great talents and skill set, Romeo didn't manage to win any of his 2 Finals appearance, it's almost in reach of his hands but the luck is not there. He dominates the entire league with stats not until to Finals  not even his co-elite-guards RR Garcia able to beat the Ateneo Dynasty.
He's on the #1 spot because he has the biggest chance to get the ring but something wrong.. maybe you already knew what it is...

AWARDS:

  1. UAAP Most Valuable Player (76)
  2. 2x UAAP Mythical Team (75, 76)
  3. UAAP Rookie of the Year (73) 2010
  4. UAAP Juniors' Most Valuable Player (72)
