Sometime being short is becoming an obstacle or hindrance for every man's dream but not for these people who shown the world that Basketball is not only Sports for Big Men. I ranked the players based from their HEIGHT plus their accomplishment, the shorter their height the higher their rank plus their achievements.

NOTE: The ranking is based on Height + accomplishments. If a player done a lot better based on is achievements but considering his height  has bigger advantage then he'll be ranked further lower. Example, Tenorio is higher than Racela because Tenorio is shorter than Racela, same with Calma and Aranaiz.







#1 Johnny Abarrientos

Height : 5'7

The shortest to ever win the MVP no doubt he's the automatic Greatest Shortest player in PBA. During the 90's nobody realized that he's only stands at 5'7 because how he dominates the big guy with his ball handling skills with killer crossover. In his prime no wonder one of the NBA team had scout him for possible reinforcement. Right after his major injury, he came back and rejuvenate his career with Ginebra, he was old back but still shown to his team that he can motivate his team to win back to back championship for Ginebra.

Height : 5'10

Now in his 11th year in the league and still his competitiveness if not only injured. Jimmy Alapag is current greatest point-guard who leave today. He joined the PBA under the radar, nobody thought
that the mighty mouse will give a big fortune to the Tropang Texters specially combined with another
big shot Asi Taulava.

Alapag has retired his duty for Gilas after serving for almost 10yrs to the national pool. In international league his known to be the greatest competent PG of the Philippines.

Stands at 5'8, Calma is known to be the Director because of his Ball-IQ on the floor and how he

#5 Ato Agustin


      Height : 5'11

    He's known to be as Ato'm Bomb because of his explosive shots to bombards their foes. Agustin is the only player to ever win the Most Improved in 1991 then an in MVP in 1992.
  Agustin also had a ComeBack player award in 2000 in RedBull, a recognition to great players who's in hibernation for a long time.
  He played for the San Miguel Beermen, Sunkist/Pop Cola, the Sta. Lucia Realtors, and finally, Batang Red Bull. Agustin was named a member of the PBA's 25 Greatest Players in 2000.

    Known to be "Mr. Clutch" because of his explosive shots on crucial games. Aranaiz is a pure Shooting Guard that dominates the offense in time he need him most and a Point-Guard that can make the game in his will.  He is also lucky to be part of Toyota championship era.

#7 Jayson Castro

Height : 5'10

     He's known to be the Greatest Point-Guard in Asia in the last Asian game and FIBA Asia because of his ability to create plays and maneuver an offense all by himself. Nobody able to catch out with his blurring speed when he drives to the basket. Castro in his young age had accomplished a lot of individual awards, he's truly a rare-breed of a Guard.

#8 Lim Eng Beng

Height : 5'11

Is the only pure Chinese to be included in the 25 Greatest in the PBA though he's considered to be Fil-Chinese later on . During his prime he shown the league his being a great tactician on the floor. In 1975 the Federation of Filipino-Chinese Chamber of Commerce quickly awarded him as one of the four Most Outstanding Youth in the Chinese-Filipino community. Continually playing in professional basketball from 1975 to 1986, he was among one of the few elite Chinese-Filipino athletes in the
Philippines to be recognized as a superstar athlete and have inspired many youths to follow his footsteps.He is also one of the best players in the sports history of the De La Salle University varsity team.

#9 Ronnie Magsanoc

Height : 5'9

Magsanoc played collegiate ball with Benjie Paras and Eric Altamirano for the University of the Philippines, where he won a championship in 1986, before moving on to play professional basketball in the Philippine Basketball Association.  During his stint in the PBA, Al Mendoza christened him as The Point Laureate . He joined the league in 1988 and became the lead point guard of the Shell team that not only had 1989 MVP winner Benjie Paras but also perennial best import winner Bobby Parks. He was also a member of the 1990 Philippine National Team which finished with a silver medal. He also played for Sta. Lucia (after being traded for Gerry Esplana) and Purefoods. In 2000, Magsanoc was named a member of the PBA's 25 Greatest Players

#10 LA Tenorio

       Height : 5'8


He's probably should go a bit higher because of his talents , skills and added the fact he's just a 5'8
short. Tenorio started the PBA under the radar but because of his Ball IQ and insane ball hanlding
he shown the league that he can make his own name in PBA. During his Alaska tenure he's been
considered to be the next Flying-A but it did not able to surpass the Legend title instead he made his
own name.

#11 Olsen Racela

Height : 5'11


In 1997, Racela moved to the San Miguel Beermen in what became the turnaround of his young career. Under new San Miguel head coach Ron Jacobs, Racela's skills were noticed under a rebuilding Beermen squad of Nelson Asaytono, Freddie Abuda and Mike Mustre.

In 1998, Racela's game would improve and was rewarded with a spot on the Tim Cone-coached Philippine Centennial Team that took home a bronze medal in the 1998 Asian Games in Bangkok, Thailand. A season later, with Racela as its top point guard, San Miguel became the league's new dynasty under Jong Uichico, winning five titles from 1999-2001.

After Johnny Abarrientos announced his retirement, Racela will play for another PBA season with San Miguel. He turned 40 on November 1, 2010 and was the senior statesman of the PBA during that season. He announced his retirement on January 28, 2011 at the Araneta Coliseum at the start of Game 4 of the finals. He had played the entire finals series before he hanged up his #17 jersey in which Talk 'N Text Tropang Texters subdued San Miguel Beermen in 6 games.

#12 Bernard "Tough Job" Fabiosa

Height : 5'9

He was one of the first "pure" point guards in the PBA. The original "Sultan of Swipes", he was a seven-time steals champion, four (4) with Crispa, two (2) with Shell and one (1) with Great Taste. He also topped the league in assists in 1981. He was a member of the Mythical Second Team in 1984. In 1981 he was the league leader in assists. Fabiosa finished his PBA career with 6,597 points (8.4 points per game), 2,837 assists (3.6 assists per game), and 1,261 steals (1.6 steals per game) in 788 games played from 1975-1991 in 19241:00 total minutes played. He converted 1,414/1876 FTs for a career average of 75.4%.

Height : 5'9


Who won't forget The Flash David in every young kids in the 90's, he's like the living Small David
beating out the Goliaths during his era specially that big shot he did in the face of the Giant Asi. David may not be award straded star but his charisma and making of big shots making loved by fans. He has the most clutch shots during the 90's and not just ordinary clutch shots but Big Time and 
contreversial.

#14 Danny Florencio

Height : 5'10


He's known to be Mr. Acrobatic, in small size he able to maneuver his thru the air, a high leaping
guard that's known to be the original Skywalker before Samboy Lim. In a very conservative culture of the late 1950’s and early 1960’s, Florencio was already a firebrand, trying moves that nobody had ever seen, and that coaches strongly discouraged. But that would really excite fans, because when he went up in the air, you didn’t know what he would do next.

#15 Mark Barroca

Height : 5'10

During his rookie season, he did not spend a lot of time on the floor with guards like Roger Yap, Josh Urbiztondo, and Jonas Villanueva all leading the Llamados. Averaging just 17 minutes per game, he was learning from the likes of Johnny Abarrientos and Olsen Racela.
Barroca played close to 34 minutes of average per game in the 2013–14 PBA Philippine Cup and evolved into a clutch player down the stretch. He led the Mixers to their 11th championship by winning the 2013-14 PBA Philippine Cup, at the expense of Rain or Shine Elasto Painters. Because of his efforts, he was awarded as the PBA Press Corps-Papa John's Pizza Finals MVP.During the 2014 PBA All-Star Weekend, he added another highlight to his breakout year by winning the Obstacle Challenge, dethroning fellow FEU alumnus and Air21 point guard Jonas Villanueva

#16 Leo Austria

Height : 5'10

In 1985, a new team Formula Shell drafted him, aside from nabbing fellow PABL standout Sonny Cabatu in the said draft. He made a quick impact for the new but veteran laden Shell squad and won the Rookie of the Year honors at season's end. His average of 3.9 points per game for that season marked the lowest average for a Rookie of the Year awardee up to that time. During his stint at Shell, he played backup point guard for Bernie Fabiosa, Al Solis, then Ronnie Magsanoc. He later played for Pepsi and was out of the league after the 1993 season. In 394 games played, he averaged 4.5 points a ballgame. He was known for his three-point shooting.

#17  Eugene Quilban

Height : 5'8

In 1991, Eugene Quilban joined Alaska from the rookie draft to bolster the Alaska squad. Jojo Lastimosa was acquired after being taken from Purefoods in a trade with Elmer Cabahug. After a third-place showing in the All-Filipino, they returned to the finals of the Third Conference against crowd-favorite Ginebra San Miguel and former Laker Wes Matthews. Alvarez, Lastimosa, and their teammates dominated the series that saw them winning it, 3 games to 1 for their first title in team history.

Alvarez was then eased out of the team when his one-on-one style didn't suit the new offensive scheme being enforced by Tim Cone – the triangle offense. Quilban later left Alaska for 7-Up, in which he led the team to a finals loss to Swift.

#18 JVee Casio

Height : 5'10


He missed the first four games of the 2011–12 PBA Philippine Cup due to sore left knee. Upon his return from injury, he had slow start in his first few games as a professional, but eventually found his groove, helping Powerade reach the Finals against Talk 'N Text.

In his rookie season, he posted norms of 11.9 points, 6.4 assists, and 3.1 rebounds. These numbers though were not enough to give him the Rookie of the Year honors. Despite missing the Rookie of the Year honors, he was awarded Sportsman of the Year.

Prior to the start of the 2012-13 PBA season, Casio was traded to the Alaska Aces to replace the spot of LA Tenorio, who was traded away to Ginebra.  In his first conference with the team, he averaged 13.4 points, 4.3 assist, and 3.5 rebounds. He also helped capture the 2013 PBA Commissioner's Cup Finals trophy, scoring 18 points en route to their 14th title, the first in the post-Tim Cone era. He was given the Sportsmanship award for the second straight year. The next season, he posted averages of 12.60 points, 3.53 rebounds and 3.02 assist per game, while providing steady presence at the point guard slot..

#19 Topex Robinson

Height : 5'7

Robinson is a solid and a defensive point guard. His career averages are 4.3 points per game, 3.4 rebounds per game, 2.7 assists per game and 1 steals per game. Played for MontaƱa in the PBL alongside with Gary David, he was then was signed as a free agent by Yeng Guiao on 2003 to play for Red Bull Thunder as a back up point guard for Jimwell Torion.

#20 Boyet Fernandez

Height : 5'7

He is known for his years as a player with the Sta. Lucia Realtors, Alaska Milkmen, Pop Cola 800s, and the Purefoods TJ Hotdogs. He was once considered by national coach Ron Jacobs as the best back up point guard in the PBA. He was also named into the 2002 Philippine National Training Pool and was listed as a reserve player
